T. Krishnapriya's recent series “Membrane” is once again a representation of the artist’s inner feelings and yearnings. Her sketches have been designed as ‘breathing’ structures, as if we are scientifically examining membranes through a microscope. Each line is innovated with sensible and sensitive feelings, frozen at the bottom of her heart. In an effort to expose her void of a mother’s love, mentally and physically, she aims to reveal herself to the viewer.
Thin white lines gently inscribe braided patterns, veins and figures on a soft paper background. The range of colors is limited to harmoniously light colors. She draws using a nail violating the soft paper surface; the pain rises predicting her inner narrative. With this thought intensive process, she generates a cord of tissues that replicate the stream of emotion.
