Overview
Yasir Waqas graduated from the National College of Arts, Lahore in 2013 where he specialized in miniature painting. His first solo exhibition “Flight” was held at Rohtas II Gallery, Lahore, in 2017. His group and solo exhibitions have taken place in Italy, India, and Dubai. He is a recipient of the Arjumand Art Prize by Gallery 6 at the Pakistan National Council of Arts, Islamabad (2017). Yasir was a GPL Pilot. His artwork titled ‘There were wine leaves in her hair’ reflects the same as it has airplanes painted on this particular artwork which is currently a part of our exhibition - Futur Proche. This artwork was also a part of the India Art Fair, in 2022 presented by APRE Art House.
Currently based in Lahore, Pakistan.
