Overview
Victor Hazra's works serves as a contemplative exploration into the intricate and fragile interplay between humanity and the land. He earned his Master of Fine Arts in Painting from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata in 2014, and a Bachelor of Visual Arts in painting from the Govt. College of Art and Craft, Agartala in 2011. He has been the recipient of several awards including the Junior artist scholarship from the Ministry of Culture, India, 2014-16; Sumangal Sen Memorial Merit Scholarship, 2008 and Tripura Rabindra Parishad, Agartala, 2008. He has held several solos and group shows including Encrypted, curated by Lina Vincent, APRE Art House, 2023; Futur Proche, curated by Sayali Mundye, APRE Art House x TUS, 2023; Interim I, APRE Art House, 2022; Transit, 2021, APRE Art House, Bikaner House, New Delhi; Gwanghwamun International Art Festival, 2018, Korea; D-IS-PLAY II, 2016, NIV Art Center, New Delhi; Eccentric, 2013, Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata; the Pepper House Residency; Kochi-Muziris Biennale, Kochi, 2016-2017.
