Overview

Ursula Maria Probst is a multidisciplinary cultural worker, curator, performer, and art critic based in Vienna, Austria. She is the Artistic Director of FLUCC – Center for Arts and Communities, where she focuses on contemporary art and community engagement.

Her work spans gender studies, biodiversity, the healing power of art, and urban research, integrating performance, curation, and academic work. Probst leads Transcultural Emancipation, a project featuring performances and exhibitions across Latin America and BODY Embedding, which has appeared throughout Asia since 2018.

Probst has curated projects for major Austrian institutions and written for publications like Kunstforum International and Spike. She is also known for public art projects like In Search of the Urban AlterEgo. Upcoming projects include Body Embedding in Beijing and exhibitions such as Super Natur in Austria and Care on Earth at FLUCC Vienna. Probst also lectures on public art and structural power dynamics at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, University of Art and Design Linz, and University of Applied Arts Vienna.
