Overview
Sohum Joshi is an Indian visual artist whose practice explores the intersections of urban landscapes, identity, and materiality through alternative photographic processes. Engaging with themes of transformation, labour, and spatial politics, his work examines the tension between visibility and invisibility in rapidly evolving environments.
Combining traditional and experimental photographic techniques, Joshi challenges conventional notions of image-making, inviting viewers to reconsider how we perceive space and identity.
Recent exhibitions include Camera and the Queer Image (Chennai Photo Biennale, 2025), Encounters With My Homeland (Photo Fringe, Brighton, 2024), and Blotched Edifice (The Collectives Hub, Brighton, 2024).
Soham Joshi is working between Pune and the United Kingdom.
