Overview
Ritwik Mondal, born in a seaside town in West Bengal and schooled in Purulia, completed his BFA from Govt. College of Art and Crafts, Kolkata (2015), and MVA in Sculpture from MSU Baroda (2017). His work explores the unspoken and tactile dimensions of memory, set against themes of consumerism, environmental decline, and migration. In his current series Sacrificial Offerings, he draws inspiration from the disappearing forms and textures of the seashores near his home, reflecting on fading memories, lost touch, and the environmental cost of unchecked consumption.
He lives and works in Baroda, India.
