Collection: Raju Baraiya

Raju Baraiya, born in Jafrabad village, Gujarat, comes from a farming family and was the first to pursue formal higher education. He completed his Diploma and Post Graduate Diploma from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Maharaja Sayajirao University, Vadodara, in 2015.

His art explores the contrast between village life and urban environments, reflecting on the complex relationship between rural and urban spaces. Through miniature figures, farms, and spontaneous gestures, Raju's work portrays his journey of relocating the self from the village to the city.

Currently based in Baroda.
