Pallavi's work delves into themes such as fantasy, resistance, politics, and history, aiming to examine the interplay between truth and perception of reality. She has exhibited her work at various prestigious venues including AV Festival in Newcastle, Contour Biennale, Tate Modern, and Whitechapel Gallery, among others. Pallavi's films have been featured in notable film festivals such as Experimenta and Mumbai Film Festival. She has received fellowships such as the Charles Wallace and Inlaks Shivdasani Fellowship and has participated in residency programs at institutions like Wysing Arts Centre and Delfina Foundation. Her solo exhibitions include 'Mistaking for Direction Signs' at Project 88 and 'Terra Firma' at Fitzwilliam Museum. Currently, she is pursuing a PhD at the School of Arts and Aesthetics, JNU.
