Overview
Kiyomi Talaulicar, a gold medalist from Sir J. J. School of Art, Mumbai, completed her Bachelor's in Painting in 1986 before moving to the USA, where she earned an MFA from East Carolina University in 1993. During her time in the US, she received various awards and scholarships, including the Jerome Foundation/Women's Art Registry of Minnesota Scholarship.
Since returning to India in 2003, Kiyomi has exhibited widely, with notable solo shows such as A Woven Story For Mother at Gallery Art & Soul, Mumbai, and Unlocking Stillness at Gallery Art Motif, New Delhi. Her work has been featured in prominent art fairs, including multiple editions of the India Art Fair and Art Dubai.
Kiyomi has also participated in numerous group exhibitions across India and internationally. Her paintings were featured in the film OLU by Shaji Karun, and she has been invited to various prestigious art camps, including the KOREA-INDIA Artists Camp and the ASEAN-India Artists Camp.
Currently based in Mumbai.
