Overview
Gia Singh Arora is a Mumbai-based filmmaker, performance artist, and educator exploring gender, intimacy, and the politics of the body through film, movement, and experiential installation. Her performances, including Man-Eater (2022–23) at Method Gallery and The Ghost Dance (2023) at Art & Charlie, challenge perceptions of the body through light, movement, and touch. Her immersive work Sheer (2022) at Kathiwada City House engaged with Saviya Lopes’ The Birthday Suit, questioning exposure and unveiling.
Shantanu Sagara, a Mumbai-based artist and filmmaker, works with video art, sculpture, and cinema, exploring spatial memory, transformation, and personal-public narratives. His acclaimed music video Wilting—featured on NOWNESS Asia and WildCity—weaves cinema, music, and visual art. He holds a BFA from Santa Fe University of Art and Design, New Mexico, awarded a scholarship by Lynda Benglis. His work has been showcased at Outdoor Vision Fest, Santa Fe (2017), and his documentary Gypslum was screened at the Death of Architecture Festival. He has also worked as a curatorial assistant at Serendipity Arts Festival (2019, 2022), collaborating with artist Sudarshan Shetty.
