Overview
Devesh Upadhyay makes objects that pay tribute to the natural world reminds us to slow down and helps us reconnect with nature. He completed his BFA in pottery and MFA in ceramic sculpture from Banaras Hindu University. He was a gold medallist in both programs at the Faculty of Fine Arts BHU. In 2010 he was awarded the ‘Birla Academy Award’ for his first terracotta sculpture and in 2022 he received the National award from the Lalit Kala Academy New Delhi, for Ceramic Sculpture. He participated in the Residency Program in Uttarayan Art Foundation for a year in Vadodara as well as at the Light Publications Ceramic Centre.
Devesh is based in Vadodara, India.
