Komal Sachdev is the Founder and Principal Interior Designer of Komal Sachdev Designer + Planner (KSDP) , a Mumbai–based interior design firm established in 2014.
She holds a diploma in Interior Design from Nirmala Niketan Polytechnic, Mumbai, graduating in 2009. With over a decade of experience, Komal has developed a distinctive design language that balances minimalism with elegant sophistication, tailoring each project to reflect the client’s lifestyle and vision.
Her body of work spans residential and commercial interiors, marked by thoughtful material selection, curated color palettes, and functional spatial planning. Notable projects include House of Arches, a contemporary home defined by rhythmic curves and soft neutrals; Black Elegance, a minimalist four-bedroom residence with spa-inspired detailing; The Frontier Post, a restaurant blending Afghani-Awadhi heritage with modern design; and Maison De Luxe, a compact neoclassical apartment layered with rich textures and geometric forms.
Recognized in the Indian design industry, Komal received the D/code Design Ikons Award in 2024 for her contribution to elegant residential interiors. A self-professed “maker at heart,” she constantly explores new ways to push design boundaries, believing that thoughtful, well-executed interiors can significantly enhance quality of life. For Komal, design is not just a profession but a vehicle for positive change, with every space crafted to inspire and uplift its inhabitants.
