Overview

Sandeep Parmar is a printmaker who blends traditional miniature art with contemporary techniques such as etching, lithography, woodcut, and embossing. A graduate of Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda (2022), his distinctive use of tempera color brings richness and intensity to his prints.

Parmar’s work delves into themes of sexuality within a conservative cultural backdrop, exploring hidden human emotions—love, desire, lust, and faith—with bold sensitivity. Through symbolic elements like the Hansiya and miniature forms, he brings private narratives into the public eye.

His work has been featured in exhibitions such as MUTE/UNMUTE at METHOD Art Gallery, Mumbai (2024), and Breaking The Mould at Anant Art Gallery, Noida (2022).

He is based in Bhavnagar and originally from Rajasthan.
