Overview
Antara Paul is a visual artist whose practice spans sculpture, academic research, and design education. Trained at the Government College of Art and Craft, Kolkata, she completed her Master’s in Creative Sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University, Baroda, where she received gold medals for academic excellence.
Currently a PhD scholar at IDC, IIT Bombay, and an assistant professor at ATLAS Skilltech University, Mumbai, Paul’s practice blends making, teaching, and research. Her work has been exhibited in national and international group shows across Kolkata, Baroda, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Bangladesh. She has participated in residencies and art events such as the Pune Biennale, and has exhibited with Gallery ArtIncept and Time & Space.
She is a recipient of the National Scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and the Sri Inder Bhambhani Award from the Bombay Art Society.
Born in Kolkata, India, she currently lives and works in Mumbai.
