The exhibition is an exploration of the transient nature of existence, capturing the fleeting moments that define human experience. Inspired by the concept of ephemerality, it delves into the delicate balance between permanence and impermanence, echoing the philosophical musings of Heraclitus, who posited that "everything flows, nothing stands still."

The participating artists interrogate impermanence through themes of change, decay, and transformation, addressing its pervasive presence across natural, emotional, and societal realms.

Artists such as Shanthamani and Neil & Doyle study material transience employing mediums like coal and pigmented ice blocks respectively, invoking the passage of time and alteration of form. Ubik’s works reflect material degradation and transformation through layered compositions.

Abeer’s series meditates on loss and life’s temporality, constructing symbolic circles for mourning and renewal. Pragati’s works investigate nuances of relationships and identity, probing the persistence and dissolution of human connections.

In varied ways, Neeraj, Bhavani, and Damyanti observe and record nature’s ephemeral essence, capturing unrepeatable encounters. Enit and Shram craft heuristic alphabets that evolve into organic forms, embedding them in archaeological layers.

Krishnaraj’s figures inhabit liminal realms, radiating energy and encapsulating still-life moments on the brink of dissolution. Mathai’s "Séance" series channels spiritual and otherworldly communication, while Shanti Swaroopini’s sculptures utilize archetypal symbols of the female body to embody life and death.

Collectively, the artists in "Ephemerides" interrogate the ephemeral nature of materials and experiences, offering profound reflections on impermanence as a philosophical understanding, and as a catalyst for meaning and transformation.
