Singh’s work questions the detestable practice of child labor and its predicament, as witnessed in his hometown Jharkhand. They challenge the notion of progress and examine the future of these young laborers. Vikash Kumar is a research scholar, educator, curator and arts administrator based in New Delhi. He has completed his studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He has curated more than 30 solo and group exhibitions and written several articles for many leading contemporary art journals of India and abroad since 2007. He was the organizing team member of India Art Fair in its initial editions and has worked as a Curator at the National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi.
