Vijay Bagodi

Overview

Vijay Bagodi, originally from Gulbarga, Karnataka, pursued a diploma in painting and a post-diploma in Printmaking and Graphic Arts from Maharaja Sayajirao University, Vadodara, supported by a Karnataka Lalit Kala Academy Scholarship. Inspired by David Hockney's prints, he shifted to printmaking. He later explored color pastel drawings while teaching at CAVA, Mysore.

Bagodi's accolades include the National Award at the 40th National Exhibition of Contemporary Art and Best Print of the Year at the 71st AIFACS Annual Exhibition. A co-founder of CHHAAP Vadodara Printmaking Workshop, he currently teaches at Maharaja Sayajirao University.

Currently based in Vadodara.
